The setup

$500 budget. Billboard competitors.

Percy Martinez came on as a client in 2016 as a solo medical malpractice attorney in Miami. The monthly marketing budget was $500. The firms running TV ads and South Florida billboards were spending $50,000 a month.

Most agencies would have said the budget was too small to matter. The math we ran said otherwise.

We built a WordPress site engineered for speed and ranked it for searches that actually converted into cases. Within weeks, Percy was showing up for the terms his competitors had written off as too small to bother with. That was the beginning of a ten year partnership.

The strategy

First mover. Relentless execution.

The market was crowded with firms ranking for “medical malpractice lawyer Miami.” We did not compete there first.

We identified specific medical conditions, surgical errors, anesthesia mistakes, birth injuries, misdiagnosis, and built pages targeting searches nobody else was going after. By the time competitors caught on, Percy already owned those keywords.

When the practice expanded to Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville, we restructured the navigation by city. Other firms started copying the structure within months.

We sent a photographer to each city when competitors were still using stock images. We built scholarship campaigns with universities that earned legitimate .edu backlinks. We reached out attorney to attorney and landed placements on ABA and state bar sites. We newsjacked local accidents to capture searches in real time.

The strategy compounded. Each tactic strengthened the next. Pages built around statute citations earned authority that helped the city pages rank. The city pages drove inbound that justified more local content. The local content earned more backlinks. Ten years in, the same domain is still ranking because the foundation was built right the first time.
