Ten years inside a Miami firm. Then this.

I spent a decade at Percy Martinez P.A., a Miami medical malpractice firm. Started as a paralegal handling intake. Then built the marketing operation from a $500 budget while the billboard firms across town spent $50,000 per month on television.

The numbers held up. Traffic grew 483 percent over three years. Organic clicks hit 16,300 in 16 months. The firm ended up ranking above Morgan and Morgan in Hialeah Local Service Ads. That experience is what every client on the roster gets, by hand, with my phone number on file.

How this is built · Operating principles

Five rules that do not move.

Every firm on the roster signs the same operating agreement. The cap is the product, and the cadence is what makes the math work.

01

One firm per metro

If a Miami medical malpractice firm signs, no other Miami medical malpractice firm gets a seat. Six practice areas. Same rule across every one.

02

50 firms nationally

The whole roster caps at 50. After that, the door closes for the calendar year. That cap is what protects the depth of work on each account.

03

Tracked to signed cases

Reporting shows what each campaign cost per signed case, not per form fill. Server side conversion tagging tied to your case management system.

04

Rule 4-7 compliant

Every page, every ad, every review on the books follows Florida Bar Rule 4-7, 4-7.13, and 4-7.18. The work passes Bar review the first time.

05

Bilingual by default

Spanish copy is written, not translated. Miami Spanish reads differently from Mexican or Castilian, and Google Translate kills your conversion rate.

What gets done · Five practices

The five things that move a firm.

Most agencies sell every channel at once. The work that moves a firm’s cost per signed case sits inside these five. The flagship is SEO. The rest exists to compound it.

Flagship SEO

Rank for the cases you want, not the cheap ones.

The Percy Martinez account moved from 500 monthly visitors to 14,000 on this work. The Jorge L. Flores account hit number one in the Map Pack inside Miami metro in five months after getting off FindLaw in 2003. Content, technical, local, and link work, built around the practice area, not the keyword tool.

“At Percy we treated intake like an emergency room. Speed to lead is what won the cases the billboards could not catch.”

A Kendall practice locked inside a FindLaw build since 2003. Two decades of vendor lock in and stale URLs. The migration moved the site to WordPress on managed hosting, then the local stack pushed the firm to number one in the Map Pack inside Miami metro in five months.

“Twenty years on a proprietary platform. The day the rebuild went live, my phone started ringing again.”

What does a law firm marketing agency do?

A real law firm marketing agency runs five things as one operating system, not five disconnected channels. SEO so the firm ranks for high intent practice queries. Paid search so the firm captures bottom funnel demand. A website that loads fast and converts. AI search visibility so ChatGPT and Perplexity cite the firm when people ask for a lawyer in your area. And review management so the social proof matches the marketing.

The work is tied to signed retainers, not clicks or impressions, and the firm owns every asset the engagement produces.

How much does law firm marketing cost?

Argota website builds run $3,000 to $15,000 depending on practice areas and metro coverage. Monthly retainers are $3,000 to $10,000 per month plus media spend, which covers SEO, content, page speed, AI search optimization, ad management, and weekly intake review.

Foundation tier starts at $3,000 for single practice, single city. Practice tier is $8,000 to $12,000 for multi practice in a single county. Regional Plus is $12,000 to $15,000 for multi county firms. Every tier is month to month after day 90, no annual contracts.

How do I choose a legal marketing agency?

Three filters cut the field by ninety percent. First, ask whether the agency takes competing firms in your metro and practice area, because if they do, they are structurally misaligned with your firm. Second, ask who handles the work day to day, you want one accountable operator not a junior account manager rotation. Third, ask how leads are tracked, the answer should be click to signed retainer, not form fill or phone call.

If an agency cannot answer these three questions cleanly in the first sales call, the engagement will not work.

Do I own my website and ad accounts?

Yes, every asset. The WordPress install lives in your hosting account, the domain stays in your registrar, the Google Analytics property and Google Ads account are owned by the firm. There is no proprietary builder, no platform lockout, no template license that follows you around.

If you fire me tomorrow, you keep everything and the transfer takes about an hour. This is the opposite of the leased template model that traps firms inside FindLaw, Scorpion, or Justia.

Will you work with a competitor in my city?

No. One firm per practice area per metro, total roster capped at 50 firms nationally. If a Miami medical malpractice firm signs, no other Miami medical malpractice firm can be accepted into the roster, ever. PI in Miami stays open because PI and med mal are different practice areas.

The cap is the product. The moment a competing firm joins the roster, the original client is buying access not exclusivity. Florida med mal is closed because Percy Martinez P.A. and Jorge L. Flores P.A. set the playbook there. The other 44 spots fill on a first qualifying firm basis.

Roster · 50 firms nationally

If your firm is the right fit, the math is fast.

20 minute call, no pitch. If the metro and practice area are still open and the numbers work, the audit goes out inside the same week. If they do not, I will tell you that too.
